As an Account Executive for The Campus Special, you will develop the skills that cannot be taught in a classroom! Gain hands on experience in account management, advertising, sales, customer service, marketing, and learn advanced communication skills.

Extensive training is provided at our 4-day, all-expenses-paid training conference in Chicago where you will meet over 200 interns from around the country, attend workshops, and more!

We are based out of Atlanta and Chicago and employ hundreds of college interns every summer to participate in our paid internship program. Semesters interns are needed: Su I & Su II annually

Number of interns needed: minimum of 1

Start date: On or near the first day of the summer I, negotiable

End date: On or near the last day summer II, negotiable

Hours per week: up to 40 hours per week/depending upon the number of weeks scheduled to intern.

Academic qualifications: Declared major or minor in the School of Communication

Desired skills and qualifications: Outgoing, social, motivated, hardworking, & disciplined

Description of intern responsibilities: Work one-on-one with local business owners in your college town. Learn advanced selling techniques, marketing, and advertising. Manage clients, accounts, and receivables.

Training: In Chicago, 4-day all expenses paid

Credit: College credit toward communication major, minor or general electives. One hour of college credit is earned for 40 hours of work up to 6 credit hours.

Evaluation: The evaluation and grade will be completed by Internship Coordinator Marilyn Kritzman and will be based upon the following:
v The student’s journal/log/observation of all intern activities
v The student’s copy of all work produced
v The student’s learning objectives and progress made toward the learning objectives
v Final paper
v The internship sponsor mid-internship evaluation
v The internship sponsor final evaluation

Method of Evaluation:
v Student’s journal/log: 20%
v Student’s work: 20 %
v Paper: 20%
v Internship sponsor mid-internship evaluation: 20%
v Internship sponsor final evaluation: 20%

Calendar:
v E-mail updates to faculty sponsor every month.
v Additional communication via email, phone or in person as needed
v All materials are to be submitted to Marilyn Kritzman on the Wednesday prior to final weeks of the semester/session registered.
v Internship sponsor evaluation due half way through the internship
v Internship sponsor final evaluation due the Wednesday of finals week with the rest of the material. The evaluation may be submitted with the student’s materials in a sealed envelope, or the sponsor may submit it separately by the due date.

Internship objective: Provide a learning and working experience in an advertising and media production environment.

About the interning organization: Ream Enterprises has been in business for seven years providing media production services. Services are provided to both the general public and small business organizations.

Interning organizations mission: Ream Enterprises is seeking an individual(s) to participate in the expansion of our advertising subsidiary.

Semesters interns are needed: fall, spring, summer I & summer II annually

Number of interns needed: 1 to 3

Hours per week: 10-15 hours per week/depending upon the number of weeks scheduled to intern.

Academic qualifications: Declared major or minor in the School of Communication

Desired skills and qualifications: Student interns should be computer competent. Strong grammatical skills are a plus.

Description of intern responsibilities: Potential interns will become an active member of a production team. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to lead generation, script development, and equipment operator. Intern will have the opportunity, if presented, to be a lead producer for one or more advertising spots.
